This year, in honor of the centennial of President John F. Kennedy, we are practicing gratitude.
We are grateful that our artistic and educational programming reaches 11 million people each year.
We are grateful for the power of the performing arts to transfix, transport, and captivate us.
We are grateful for our audiences, visitors, and artists, who come into this beautiful space to experience the rapture, joy, and challenge of interacting with the performing arts.
Each of you inspires and impacts us. But while we are grateful, we are also committed.
We commit to continue to bring you the best of the performing arts. To be a Center that launches new initiatives. To invite you to engage with artists and ideas, and to be a space that sets you free to play and discover.
But these are not things we can accomplish alone. Because ticket sales cover only half the cost of our performance and outreach programs and federal appropriations can only be used for maintenance of the building as a presidential memorial, we rely on the generosity of people like you.
Join us as we practice gratitude. Make a gift today.
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them."
President John F. Kennedy
