An all-star group of Washington, DC-based musicians—Elijah Jamal Balbed, tenor/soprano saxophones, Musical Director, Lyle Link, alto saxophone/flute, Kenny Rittenhouse, trumpet, Raynel Frazier, trombone, Tim Whalen, piano, Eliot Seppa, bass, and Harold Summey, drums—plays a variety of compositions recorded on the legendary record label. The compositions are from various Blue Note records and are arranged by several members of the band, including a special tribute to Butch Warren (house bass player for Blue Note Records 1960-64, and Washington, DC legend). Part of Blue Note at 75.
