El Trio de la Estudiantina Municipal de Ayacucho and Tradiciones Carumeñas

The two groups preserve and promote the music and culture from the Ayacucho and Tixani Valley regions of Peru, respectively. The trio is part of a community ensemble, which includes guitars, mandolins, charangos, violins, quenas, and occasionally harps, bandurrias, and lutes. Part of the 2015 Smithsonian Folklife Festival.
