Enjoy an evening of bluesy jazz and soulful improvisations featuring trumpeter Freddie Dunn and friends. Dunn is best known for his work with the groundbreaking urban jazz–soul collective, Fertile Ground. His solo work in their latest CD, Soul Progressin’, was featured on The Wire and won a 2009 Independent Music Award. Dunn’s upcoming projects include a new acoustic set due later this year and a jazz music series in his new home of Brookland in Washington, D.C. Part of the East River Jazz Festival.
