In a quest for deeper cultural understanding, Nomadic Wax presents Hip Hop and spoken word poetry artists from Syria and Iran. These artists blend Hip Hop aesthetics with aspects of traditional Persian culture and deliver deeply personal messages of life, hope, and peace. D.C.-based DJ RBI will be providing the music for the artists. Omar Offendum is a Syrian-American Hip Hop and spoken word artist raised in Washington, D.C. Mana is an Iranian-American Hip Hop artist and founder of Lipstick Revolt, a women’s empowerment organization. Amal Kassir is a Syrian-American spoken word poet and activist.

Presented in collaboration with Nomadic Wax.
