Kristopher Funn was born and raised in Baltimore. He began playing the trumpet at age four and took up the double bass at age 14 upon entering high school. After graduating with an honors degree in computer science, Funn decided to pursue a career as a professional jazz musician, performing in several venues in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan areas. His band The Corner Store reminds him of his childhood—the corner store does not always have what you need, but they sure do have things you find yourself guilty of wanting from time to time.
