Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists

5/7/2019 at 6:00 PM

As the end of their season approaches, the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artists present a celebratory program of great operatic ensembles, including a preview of their upcoming Concert of Comic Masterpieces(May 24, Kennedy Center Opera House). This worldclass ensemble of the finest young operatic talents in the country perform throughout the Washington D.C.-area over the year, honing their craft with the world’s greatest singers and artists. Their final Millennium Stage program of the season is the culmination of this intensive training program, showcasing repertoire they have worked on throughout the season—a perfect introduction to the magic and beauty of opera for all ages. DCYAP Principal Coach Ken Weiss hosts a varied program explaining why opera is the only artform where several voices can speak at once with perfect clarity.
