WNO continues its partnership with the Washington Nationals with an M&M’S® Opera in the Outfield presentation of The Marriage of Figaro on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Nationals Park. Gates will open at 5 p.m. for pre-opera activities for the entire family, and the opera will be broadcast live from the Kennedy Center Opera House to the high-definition NatsHD scoreboard at 7 p.m. Free seating will be available on the outfield grass (weather permitting) and in the stands.

Arrive early to Nationals Park to enjoy entertainment and activities including:

  • Photo opportunities for kids of all ages

  • Performances by local artists
  • A screening of the Warner Bros. cartoon "What's Opera, Doc?," starring Bugs Bunny and his nemesis Elmer Fudd

Stadium Information

  • Nationals Park is located at 1500 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, DC 20003.
  • Guests who plan to sit in the outfield grass may bring blankets to sit on. Chairs are not permitted on the grass. Nationals Park concessions will be open for the simulcast. No alcoholic beverages may be brought into Nationals Park. No bags larger than 16 inches x 16 inches x 8 inches will be allowed into the ballpark. All bags are subject to inspection. Metro Information

  • Metro is the quickest and easiest way to get to Nationals Park.
  • Take Metro's Green Line to Navy Yard-Ballpark station it's just a half block from Nationals Park. And remember, Metro has more than 57,000 parking spaces at its stations.
  • Buses that serve Nationals Park: 74, A42, A46, A48, P6, V7, V8, and V9 and Capitol Hill Circulator.
  • Please note that the Orange Line will be single tracking from Vienna to West Falls Church on September 24, 2016 as a part of the Metro Safe Track Plan.

Seating in the Outfield

Due to the increased popularity of M&M'S® Opera in the Outfield, patrons wishing to sit in the outfield will be required to pick up a wristband after they enter Nationals Park. The wristbands will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be distributed at a table to the left of Center Field Plaza when the gates open at 5 p.m.

  • Wristbands are free and the only way to gain access to outfield seating.
  • Wristbands will be distributed at a table to the left of Center Field Plaza near the Family Picnic Area (at sections 141-143). There will be signs to guide you to the table and to the field entrances.
  • Distribution of wristbands will begin promptly at 5 p.m. when the park gates open.
  • Seating is limited, so the wristbands will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. You must be present to receive a wristband; one (1) wristband per person.
  • Once all of the available wristbands have been claimed, an announcement will be made over the stadium sound system and field access will be closed to those without a wristband.
  • Guests are able to check their strollers at our Guest Services locations in Center Field Plaza and at Section 131 on the main concourse.

Plenty of free seating will be available throughout the park for the duration of the evening. Only outfield seating requires a wristband.

Accessibility

Symbol of Accessibility Accessible seating is available throughout the park. Arrangements for a wheelchair to transport a guest to a seat from the park entrance must be made in advance by calling the Nationals Guest Services at (202) 640-7580 (voice).

Assistive Listening Devices Symbol Assistive listening devices (ALDs) may be signed out free of charge from Guest Services located at the Center Field Gate. A valid driver's license will be held until the device is returned.
