About the Performance

With her critically acclaimed show To Steve with LoveLiz Callaway pays homage to the writer who changed the course of her life. Honoring the life and songs of the most influential composer/lyricist of the modern musical, the Emmy winner, Tony Award® nominee, and newly-minted Grammy® nominee celebrates the master with a carefully curated evening of the words and music of Stephen Joshua Sondheim.

Meet the Artists

  • Liz Callaway

    Tony® nominee and Emmy® winner Liz Callaway was recently nominated for a Grammy Award® for Best Traditional Pop Album for To Steve with Love: Liz Callaway Celebrates Sondheim. She made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along and went on to star in Baby, Miss Saigon, The Look of Love, The Three Musketeers, and for five years appeared as ‘Grizabella’ in Cats

  • Alex Rybeck

    Alex Rybeck is a music director, composer, arranger, and pianist, best known for his work in concerts and cabarets, on recordings, and in the theater. Broadway credits include Merrily We Roll Along (directed by Hal Prince), Grand Hotel (directed by Tommy Tune), and others. Among the many artists he has worked with are such legends as George Abbott, Roberta Peters, Marni Nixon, Eartha Kitt, The McGuire Sisters, Julie Wilson, and Kitty Carlisle Hart.

  • Ritt Henn

    Ritt Henn plays bass, writes songs, and lives in New York City. He’s played Off-Broadway, toured the U.S., Europe, and Asia, and been a featured performer with Carnatic global fusion violinist Dr. L. Subramaniam. He’s released four CDs of original music, a DVD of short films, produced over 200 episodes of ManBassBoxTV, and won both Bistro and MAC Awards for his work as a solo artist.

  • Ron Tierno

    A native of Binghamton, NY, Tierno moved to New York City in 1974 to begin his career as a free-lance drummer, recording radio and TV commercials during the day, and backing folk singers on Bleecker St. in the evening. Producer Charlie Calello hired Tierno for numerous recordings. Most notably, hit albums by Odyssey (Native New Yorker) and Frankie Valli (Grease… is the word).
