Activate Your Gift Membership

Congratulations on receiving a gift Membership!  We're excited to welcome you as our newest Member!  Before you can begin receiving benefits, you need to activate your Membership by following the steps below.  For more details, please refer to your Gift Membership Activiaton Email.

Activation Instructions

  1. Select the level of Membership you have been gifted, which can be found in your email.
  2. Select the designation for your gift. Certain benefits, such as event invitations, can be declined if you wish. These are marked with a ^. Should you not want to receive those benefits check the indicated box.  Otherwise, leave this box blank.
  3. Add the Membership to your cart.
  4. Log in to your Kennedy Center account, or if you do not have one, you will be prompted to create one.
  5. On the checkout page select or enter your address, and bypass the credit card payment section.  Instead, select 'Use a Gift Certificate or Enter a Membership Activation Code'.  Enter the activation code found in your email and complete the checkout process. 
  6. Your Membership will be activated immediately. You will receive a confirmation email.  Your Membership welcome packet will arrive within 2 weeks.

Next Steps:

After adding the Membership to your cart you will  log in to your Kennedy Center account, or be prompted to make one. On the check out page, select or enter your address and then bypass the credit card payment section. Instead, select 'Use a Gift Certificate or Enter a Membership Activation code', and complete the checkout process. 

 

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic some benefits may be replaced, altered, or presented in different formats to best comply with our restricted operations and social distancing guidelines. As such, the value of goods and services may be less than the quoted amounts, allowing you to take a larger tax deduction. More information will be provided on your contribution tax receipt, or please contact our office with any questions.

*Ticket priority provides Members with access to purchase tickets after subscribers, but before the general public. For Kennedy Center presentations a selection of tickets is reserved for purchase exclusively by Members. The selection of tickets reserved for Members may sell out during Ticket Priority before the general public on sale. Ticket Priority excludes the Kennedy Center Honors and Gala performances, as well as the Washington Ballet, Washington Performing Arts, and certain other non-Kennedy Center presentations.
