Dmitry Belosselskiy

This season, Dmitry Belosselskiy will give house debuts at the Metropolitan Opera New York singing Zaccaria in Nabucco, Vladimir Yaroslavich in Prince Igor with Fedosseyev at Opernhaus Zurich, Malestata in Francesaca di Rimini at the Theater and der Wien and Verdi Requi in Tel Aviv with Riccardo Muti. In future seasons he will perform the title role in Attila at the Theater and der Wien, Il Trovatore at the Canadian Opera Company, Toronto, Fiesco in Boccanegra at Opera di Roma, Zaccaria in Nabucco at Teatro alla Scala Milan, Filippo II in Don Carlo at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Sparafucile in Rigoletto at Houston Grand Opera. He has worked with many leading conductors including Riccardo Muti, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Jan Latham Koenig, Ion Marin, Thomas Zanderling and Mikhail Pletnev, Outside the Bolshoi Theatre he has appeared on the stages of Avery Fisher Hall, New York; Harris Theater, Chicago; John Hancock Hall Boston; Philharmonie Lux burg; Wiener Konzerthaus; Macau International Music Festival; Opera di Roma and the Bregenzer Festspiele He graduated from the Russian Academy of Music. While still studying he joined the Moscow Academy Chamber Chorus as a soloist. In 2007 he won the second place at the XIII International Tchaikovsky Competition and is now a member of the Bolshoi Theatre. March 2012
