Amir Gwirtzman

Amir Gwirtzman is a Jazz artist who has mastered over 20 woodwinds from all over the world: Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Bagpipes, Zornas, Duduk, Arghul, Quena, Piri, Shofar, and Indian, Irish, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Chinese flutes, amongst many others. 28 years of his rich musical career has brought him to perform in places such as the White House, the Blue Note and the House of Blues. In 2009, Mr. Gwirtzman created his solo project Inhale-Exhale, in which he performed alone with his 25 woodwind instruments. Mr. Gwirtzman has since performed Inhale-Exhale in his home city of Tel Aviv, the Philippines, China, the United States, Peru, Armenia, Hungary, Poland, Croatia, and Bulgaria. Mr. Gwirtzman finds inspiration for his unique sound from musical styles from around the world: jazz, R&B, Cuban music, Jewish Klezmer, and Irish Celtic music. He is also inspired by sounds of the Middle East, the Balkan the Roma-Gypsy communities, Armenia, and Native American cultures. Mr. Gwirtzman constructs an ensemble sound for most of his songs, recording one instrumental part atop another until the music crescendos into a blend of rhythm, melody and harmony. Mr. Gwirtzman has presented Inhale-Exhale in his home city of Tel Aviv, the Philippines International Jazz Arts Festival (2009), the "Festival International De Louisiane" in Lafayette, Louisiana, the B.B.King museum in Indianola, Mississippi, and the Jazz Hall of Fame in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Following the American tour, Mr. Gwirtzman had 3 concerts at the Universities of Lima Trujillo in Peru. In November of 2010 Mr. Gwirtzman’s debut solo album, Inhale-Exhale, was released at the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art in a special concert to a full house. In 2011, Amir was invited to tour in the United States again due to the incredible success and high d and of 2010. The tour ended in a concert in New York City and was followed by a distribution contract with Virtual Records. Since then, Mr. Gwirtzman has already performed Inhale-Exhale in Armenia, Poland, Croatia, Hungary, Germany and Bulgaria.
