Maestro Carlos Miguel Prieto, who returns to the NSO following his “revolutionary,” “high-octane” 2018 debut (Washington Classical Review), conducts Rachmaninoff’s lush and lively Symphonic Dances. Prieto, a champion of Latin American music, opens the program with Téenek – Invenciones de Territorio, Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz’s uplifting ode to a future without borders.
