The Accord Chamber Orchestra, one of the flagship ensembles (along with the Accord Symphony Orchestra) of DC Strings Workshop, showcases the extraordinary talent of its musicians under the guidance of conductor and music director Julien Benichou. This program will feature a DC Premiere by American Composer James Lee and a World Premiere by French Composer Benoit Menut, a piece on a poem by Claude McKay, sung by up-and-coming Australian Soprano Juliette Di Bello. Two timeless classics; Bach’s A Minor Violin Concerto played by Kurt Nikkanen and Schubert’s Symphony #5 will round out the program. With a rich and diverse repertoire spanning classical masterpieces to contemporary works, the orchestra captivates audiences with its artistry, passion for music, and collaborations fostering a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation in the heart of the nation's capital.
For all Millennium Stage performances, a limited number of advance reservations are available on a first come, first served basis. Advance reservations do not guarantee a seat, and patrons are encouraged to arrive early.
