Featuring a musical tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Four performances only! Music fills our halls once again.

Our stages are ready—now let’s gather and celebrate! Be there when we make a triumphant return to live, in-person programming with the first WNO presentation of the Kennedy Center 50th Anniversary season. This celebratory homecoming to the Opera House features video projections and staged selections from the likes of Rossini’s William Tell, Verdi’s Nabucco, Wagner’s Tannhäuser, Beethoven’s Fidelio, Bizet’s Carmen, Donizetti’s Daughter of the Regiment, Verdi’s La traviata, and more. Plus, works from Kennedy Center Composer-in-Residence Carlos Simon and Tony Award®–winning composer Jeanine Tesori

You won’t want to miss this star-studded cast led by WNO Principal Conductor Evan Rogister and backed by WNO’s Orchestra and Chorus, including the WNO debut of opera superstar Pretty Yende, returning WNO favorites Isabel Leonard, Lawrence Brownlee, and Alexandria Shiner, and the anticipated company debuts of ascendant heldentenor David Butt Philip and towering bass-baritone Christian Van Horn.

For WNO’s return to the stage, we will surely feel the absence of one of our biggest champions, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. In honor of our beloved patron, the WNO family performs segments from the Justice’s favorite operas and commemorates her great contributions to American ideals. Plus, don’t miss a special tribute video narrated by NPR correspondent Nina Totenberg.

Join us for a complimentary champagne toast on the River Plaza at each performance to look forward with courage and hope to a new era!
